About Us

We are a practice at the intersection of law and criminology, focused on cybercrime litigation and scientific expert opinion. Our work combines courtroom advocacy in criminal proceedings with behavioral-science analysis of how digital offenses are committed, giving clients a rare, integrated perspective in an area where legal argument alone is often not enough.

The practice is led by Aty. Dr. Ceren Küpeli, a cybercrime lawyer and cybercrime scientist (criminologist) registered with the Istanbul Bar Association. Her background as long-term in-house counsel to a major telecommunications operator established deep expertise in telecommunications law, critical infrastructure, and corporate compliance, while her doctorate in criminology forms the intellectual foundation of her expert work. This dual identity, as both a practicing attorney and a criminologist, allows us to move fluently between the legal and the technical dimensions of a case.

Our expertise spans criminal law, internet law, KVKK and GDPR compliance, digital forensics, and corporate cybersecurity. We advise on the full range of cybercrime matters, including internet fraud, unauthorized access to information systems and account takeovers, the unlawful obtaining and dissemination of personal data, online defamation and coordinated reputation attacks, threats and extortion, breaches of privacy, and impersonation through fake accounts. In parallel with criminal complaints, we handle content removal and access-blocking under applicable internet legislation, and we coordinate with digital forensics partners and, where relevant, international authorities.

A distinctive part of our work is the preparation of criminological expert opinions submitted to courts. Grounded in a doctorate in criminology and in cybercrime science, these scientific assessments analyze digital evidence, the offender’s behavioral patterns, and their functional role in the chain of events, drawing on established criminological theory and verifiable academic literature. The aim is to assist the court, from the perspective of behavioral science and cybercrime dynamics, in reaching the material truth, while the final determination always rests with the court.

We serve corporations, critical infrastructure companies, technology and application developers, and high-profile individuals, and we also work at the international level, coordinating cross-border matters with foreign clients and authorities. Across every engagement, our approach stays evidence-based, methodical, and rooted in both rigorous legal practice and scientific analysis.
